I really liked when Thomas said that one intangible in any selection process is "timing and luck"--that's so true for probably all competitive arenas in life.

He's right about the perception of time. Once you got the decent jobs the time flies. The foundation is fucking forever or so it seems.

Man at 1:58 where he talks about being the best commando but not a father, husband, best friend and so on really is deep and hits home! Great interview!!

If you see any interview with former delta force operators then you see how intelligent and well spoken they are. You don’t see any false bravado just humbleness. They are the true silent professionals.

RRD did run a selection in September of 1993. I went to that selection in Dahlonega Georgia. There were 11 of us at that selection. Myself and Tyson Nick were the only two who were selected.

I absolutely love listening to Brad. We are just about the same age and he speaks well for our generation. I got out of the Marines in April 93, so Mogadishu was just brewing at that time.

Ive heard Comstock from CAG talk about a trombone player in selection from the band or something who was doing it because it was the quickest pathway to one of the schools because seats from his job weren't filled so competitively. Very neat. Brad goes to show how diverse these top guys are.
