  Love the callout of the healing scene as a great example of both changing minds and letting something happen that the PCs were invested in and that made logical sense rules-wise.

  I&apos;m enjoying the show a lot, but yep - my player and DM brain are occasionally perked up with &quot;Oh?&quot; at certain choices, rule tweaks, and the occasional odd interaction between entertainment, planned story beats, and actual D&amp;D play - and Teos has done an excellent job at finding these and spinning valuable lessons from them. Thanks!. &nbsp;<br>They are clearly all learning as they go, acting like real players, having fun, and trying hard to make good entertainment.

  I took their approach to Lord Soth as doing everything in the most insulting way possible - appearing as his late wife (and I was shocked at the party agreeing to such a ploy). &nbsp;If they had approached respectfully and played into his inclination to his version of knightly civility, perhaps Jasmine could have had Soth tell them about the lost song? &nbsp;The way it happened, it felt as if the party went to visit Strahd in Castle Ravenloft and spent all dinner telling him that Tatyana never loved him and that he would always be alone.<br><br>The trouble with through random checks into a narrative sequence is that there&apos;s the chance they could fail and have the barrel smashed against rocks or the goblin blow their horn summoning more to chase the party. &nbsp;There&apos;s a way to thread the needle, certainly, but if the dice are really against the party, the dramatic escape could turn into a TPK.<br><br>The tarokka reading - having seen Jasmine do such an amazing job of extemporizing off the cards (and seeing Matt Mercer do it more than once) makes me feel really inadequate at that element of storytelling. &nbsp;I would&apos;ve seen that Thief card come up and just blue screened, maybe giving it the most literal explanation. &nbsp;So kudos to them and others who can create such vivid imagery off the tops of their heads.

  I&apos;m enjoying the series very much. I think it&apos;s pretty entertaining, and episodes are just the right length.<br>I haven&apos;t run any of the adventures that have been released, but I have incorporated all the weekly monsters into my games and they&apos;re a delight.<br>The most recent ones - waxworks - I reskinned as waxwork white wyrmlings to replace the gargoyles in Tyranny of Dragons&apos; Hunting Lodge. And instead of trolls patrolling the forests around the place, it was the Mist Horrors.

  Is it possible that all of the questions and maybe even a roll or two that turned out to be inconsequential were left out of the final cut for the Unusual Sequence and Long Exposition sections of the episode? <br><br>While Critical Role can be a significant time investment, I think the fact that each session is not edited and you get to see the sausage being made as well as the narrative helps to fill in the blanks that the edited actual plays may have left out of the final product but were a part of the gaming session.

  I gotta be honest, the show so far has been only a 7/10. The main reason I watch APs is to learn lessons as a GM, while I can appreciate the spectacle, I&apos;m drawn to experiences that match my style and my table&apos;s. All of that so say that I&apos;m not digging the railroady way that Jasmine is conducting the story. And I also absolutely agree with you in suspecting that the she didn&apos;t plan for the NPC to be resurrected, and kudos to her for playing along. I just hope that over the next episodes we can have more meaningful choices for the PCs. In all fairness, I can see the reasoning behind the pacing, they want each episode to run around 1h, and present the content of the new book at the same time, but The Glass Cannon folks are doing an amazing job of running single hour episodes with a bunch of story.

  No objections from me if you choose to spoil (provided reasonable warning is given) &nbsp;- My guess is that the majority of people clicking on your &quot;Lessons from&quot; vids have either already seen the episode, or aren&apos;t planning to. &nbsp;Adding a quick &quot;If you&apos;re planning to watch the episode and want to do so spoiler-free then go do that now, then come back here...&quot; to the start should cover anyone else. &nbsp;Seems common for podcasts/shows that dissect new episodes of TV shows.

  This AP is very entertaining, but **if it’s a teaching tool…? it sets a bad example on quite a few things. We’re only 3, 1 hour episodes in. And we’ve seen, PvP, characters set up for inner party conflict, AND… there’s been 2 major ‘scenes’ with a predetermined outcome, completely disregarding player agency. <br>Of course, APs play by different rules, but a new player watching, doesn’t know that. I think an after show type thing, where they discuss these things, would go along way.
