As a child, this film was the most comprehensive depiction of firearms I had ever seen. The fact that automatic pistols and machineguns existed in the 1920's really blew my developing mind

I love the scene of Rick reloading his revolvers on the boat and Eve sees the bullet holes getting closer to his head and she jerks his head out of way so he doesn't get shot. Definitely a better love story than twilight.

My dad is a fire arms instructor, collector, and even worked with a few movie productions as a firearms advisor.<br>He once told me he felt that this movie is the most perfect era accurate firearms movie ever. He felt he could even understand something about the characters from the guns they used.

Fun fact, the actor who played Mr Anderson was originally consideredto play Rick O’Connell before Brendan came, but since he’s so handsome the director decided to keep him around for the supporting role
