  Another video came out recently thats getting this one attention again. So since people are commenting: Socom/sf are testing various high pressure case ideas, with nas3 quite frankly being the least desired pathway. Youre hearing about it the most because every other conpany has NDAs and discretion. Shelltech is trying to ride the "oh look sf noticed us" hype. Doesn't mean it wont go that direction, but for various implementation and design concerns, manufacturers and sf teams are hoping for alternate high pressure options. High pressure is the future. Not necessarily nas3.

  One thing for rifle cartridges that I think is very much worth mentioning:<br><br>&quot;Only 200 more feet per second&quot; is a drastic increase provided no unsafe pressure curves are seen. For reference, given the same barrel length and projectile grain weight between a 6.5 grendel and 6.5 creedmoor rifle, that&apos;s about the velocity increase you get by stepping up from grendel to the large frame CM round. That is by no means insignificant.

  For hunting it&apos;s a million percent revolutionary. For example if I wanted to shoot a 175 grain terminal ascent .308. With brass it&apos;s going 2600 ft second and 1500 ft lbs at 380 yards. With the nas3 cases you get the 1500 ft lbs at 500 yards. That&apos;s absolutely massive.

  To be fair if Bubba is going to hot rod these he&apos;s probably already hot rodding his brass to the point of case head separation.

  My 16&quot; howa mini action is pushing a 53gr vmax at 3600fps I had them up to 3700fps but started getting a heavy bolt lift... thats with my handloads with NAS3 cases an ramshot TAC.... its absolutely insane..... and they are super lightweight!

  I mean I’m glad this is starting to get traction. I remember hearing about NAS3 about 10 years ago and then nothing.

  I think the best application for the hybrid cases is in long range shooting. Picking up 100fps decreases bullet drop by a full mil in a 308 at 1000 yards. It obviously extends supersonic range and decreases wind drift as well.

  This is one of the reason I like channels such as this! You were willing to take a chance on <b>more expensive</b> ammo to test it out while I almost certainly wouldn&apos;t have.
