  Oh man I am so jealous and disappointed on myself . Why we fight so much for city life , material life, competition and race to own worless things? Why not a real simple life? I am glad you guys made a good move.

  I can’t believe I found your videos. I too live in Las Vegas, NV. I have been telling my wife that I can’t wait to retire to move out to Tennessee someday and start our homestead! I am so sick of this Las Vegas lifestyle. The NOISE OF TRAFFIC AND SIRENS. The bad drivers out here, the crime! And it’s so expensive now! Oh I can’t wait but I have to. 5 more years, I’ll be 67 and ready! I am so envious and jealous of you two. I’ll be watching your videos dreaming of the day when we can move out there!

  Awesome story. I moved from Santa Barbara CA after 30 years to rural Mississippi west of Grenada MS.<br>Got a 184 year old farmhouse on 40 acres. It&apos;s been incredible.<br>I never would have imagined such peace and a wonderful new chapter.

  The trick is to buy higher end products, like the concrete septic tank, and then you have &nbsp;more wiggle room on install issues.

  Goodness. My husband and I started our Homestead journey in Middle TN 11 years ago. One important lesson to share with you, “A poor man can’t afford to be cheap”. Not that you are poor, but, it’s important to spend $ when you need something done well. There are a LOT of “local yokels” out there more than willing to take your $$ for shoddy work. 😬
