Have you ever attended a homesteading festival or event like this before, and if so, what was your favorite part?

Another great video! I believe you both are blessed with green thumbs because you’ve been growing some great looking vegetables and your raised gardens look like the Amazon forest. Can’t wait to visit your roadside melon stand during harvest season😉😊

Never handle a tick with your bare hands, and under no circumstances should you crush it with your fingers. If it is infected, you can catch the disease even if it hasn't bitten you. The simplest and best way to destroy it is to burn it. Treat all your clothes with tick-repellent chemicals. I live in Eastern Siberia, and we have a huge problem with them here—there are so many of them, and many are infected. We always send the tick to a lab for testing right after a bite, without waiting for symptoms to appear.

If Nico gets "skunked" forget the tomato juice as you say, the secret is 1 quart of hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 cup of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of dish detergent. Apply the mixture to the affected areas, let it set for about five minutes then rinse it off. Good luck with those melons!

Much resprct for Joel Salatin. Truly a pioneer.  But idk if his methods are best for someone staring out with little money or worse, in debt.

Great video again! thanks for sharing. Hopefully Nico never gets skunked :D. as for the festival crazy pricing i saw in the comment i do agree with you any type of homestead/farming event shouldn't cost high dollar. Everything is so expensive these days. For something that should bring together homesteaders community / farmers there should be other way for them to make money without charging crazy amount to go to that festival

The size of the garden should be calculated according to a simple formula multiplied by the wife's capabilities!:face-blue-smiling: If you plan to preserve food, take a look at Russian recipes, as they are experts in this area. From jars to barrels, they have it all! I wish you success in all your endeavors, and I look forward to watching your videos, which are natural and free from pretentiousness and errors!
