So many girls reported him throughout the years. They were ignored, bullied, and ostracized.

A friend of mine is one of Nassar's victims. Her eating disorder gave her a heart attack at 19 and ended her Olympic training. She still struggles with anorexia and depression all these years later despite extensive therapy. These monsters destroyed so many young women it's incomprehensible.

The part about parents outright not believing the daughter and even blaming her… some people truly do NOT deserve kids.

It was so sweet when Simon said that he learned how to address this better if something like this were to happen to someone he loved. I don't really agree with calling the coach a "bully," though. To me, bullying is something that happens between peers. When a superior does it, I see it as abuse, which is the word the victim used.

If YouTube is demonizing a video, then they shouldn’t have commercials.

I'm here to see Simon's reaction at the end when he hears that Nassar got shanked in prison.

I honestly don't even feel bad for the dad
He towered over his daughter and told her he'd make her life hell. I understand he probably just didn't want it to be true. But he failed her miserably
Every adult around her failed her

Pro tip, if your kid ever comes to you with something like this, you START by telling them you believe them and then explain you have to ask some questions because what happened to them was wrong. Then you write everything immediately afterwards, ideally out of their eyeline

Damn, Simon has been cranking out the CasCrim episodes like a beast. He must be cracking the whip on the writers stuck in the basement

It’s quite impressive that the daughter managed to give grace to her father. He failed her in the worst possible way and got exactly what he deserved, yet she still talked about him with a level of compassion. I just hope she gets to live her life without Nassar’s abuse and her parents’ negligence looming over her.

Friendly Neighborhood Biologist here- in the U.S. Osteopathic Medicine is a recognized sub-sector of medicine that requires the same level of training as M.D.s, and focuses on treating issues with the entire body in mind (as opposed to going to someone in specialty medicine like nephrology or cardiology etc). Outside of the U.S. "osteopathy" is regularly used to refer to a variety of alternative medicine practices that are not scientifically based. So in the states, a doctor of osteopathy (DO) is a medically trained professional, but outside of the states they're generally not.
