  Careful about property purchase in Malaysia. Ask about selling the property in future. Is there any caveat about selling the property like must be to another foreigner and not to local resident ?

  According to a friend with a firsthand experience, buying a property in Malaysia, as a place to live in, and especially as an income investment, is a HUGE mistake. Don&apos;t fall for the &quot;8% ROI for the first 3 years&quot; scheme. It&apos;s a well executed trap.

  I have lived in Thailand now for over 20 years, but in the 80&apos;s and 90&apos;s I worked in Malaysia for almost two years and it was amazing. The food is what I miss the most. It is the best food in the world imo....although I do love my Thai food as well.

  You should have mentioned The Sarawak–Malaysia My Second Home (S-MM2H) program has historically had much lower financial requirements than the federal MM2H program.

  Most retirees don&apos;t want to be &quot;investors&quot; and deal with tenants and owning a rental property with all the headaches that comes with... they want to RETIRE. &nbsp;Malaysia overextended with their visa requirements.
