  My two favorites  were The Forbidden  Planet and The Day the Earth Stood Still.  But I have all of the  movies you talked about with my Dad when I was growing  up and my Daughter  when she  was growingʻ up and she watched them with my grandchildren.  I still continue to enjoy them every Friday and Saturday afternoon.

  I was just a little boy when Creature From The Black Lagoon came out and l saw it. When that hand came into the tent it scared the hell out of me. I cried and cried that night looking one way and the other for the creature  when l had to go to bed.

  The Day then Earth Stood Still is one of my favorite movies whether sci fi or not.  The other sci movie I love is The Forbidden Planet.

  The scene from "THEM!" with the lone New Mexico state trooper at the wrecked store and investigating a mysterious sound during a sandstorm, gave me the chills - then as now. This is very well-crafted video! Many thanks, Dennis Sema!

  Comparing Beat from 20,000 Fathoms  to Godzilla is like comparing The Mona Lisa to  a stickman drawing.

  Robby the robot was seen in numerous episodes of the Sy-Fy t.v. series 'Lost in Space' and he made a brief appearance in the movie 'Gremlins'.

  I was a kid in the 1950s.  I saw most of these movies as well as other 50's horror movies in our local theater.  I would walk with  my siblings and young cousins to the theater on Saturday afternoon for the matinee. The cost was 25 cents to get in and a nickel for an orange soda , and 10 cents for a box of popcorn. when the movies were over, it would be dark outside. Believe me, we didn't walk home, we ran home, scared for our lives.

  What a great, fun video! Excellent list! These are still some of my favorite films. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.<br>The first one I remember seeing was Invaders from Mars. I saw it as a little girl in the early &apos;60s, and some of those scenes stuck with me until I found it again 50 years later. <br>It&apos;s interesting that my favorites are grouped on your list: Them!, The Thing, and The Blob.

  Well, I normally hate lists like these. They always leave things off,summarize the movies incorrectly or leave major movies un mentioned. But you really nailed this one.<br>There are other films that may have rated mention, but for that you just need a longer list.
