  I&apos;m late to the party, but my favorite hack is putting coffee filters in the bottom of plants I&apos;m potting. It keeps the soil from spilling into the catch basin &amp; if you&apos;re a bottom waterer, it will help wick up water. They don&apos;t hold up forever, but they do at least until the soil is slightly compacted &amp; doesn&apos;t spill from the drainage holes. I love your channel!

  Can confirm snake plants and Christmas cactus live together well. A piece of the cactus was broken off so I popped it in with the snake plant like “that plant is doing well, you should stay alive in there” and they’re both thriving. It looks lovely having the tall snakes surrounded by droopy cactus stems and flowers 🌺 total accident but it’s now one of my favourite pots

  One more important thing, friends: please be sure to always use gardening gloves &amp; wash ur hands immediately after working with plants. I got a terrible staph infection last year in my hand that landed me in the hospital for a week &amp; having to have emergency surgery to remove tendons from my hand that had become diseased. The same thing happened to another gardener friend of mine, who was pricked by a thorn from a plant which ended up getting infected.

  One of my favorite things to set my plants on when I bring them in for the winter is a diatomaceous mat. They often sell them as dish drying mats and such, but they work wonders for keeping my wood surfaces from suffering water damage when I water my plants. &nbsp;I’ve started keeping one underneath every single plant I have in my home so that if I accidentally splash a bit of water or the pot leaks a tad, the pad absorbs it and keeps my floors and counters dry.<br><br>For the repotting leaf protection, I always use plastic wrap just around the upper portion of the plant. This way I can see leaves and stems clearly, I can work around them easily, I don’t have to tape anything, and it’s also safe to leave in place to support the plant until it acclimates to its new pot.

  I use an extra large kitty litter pan to bottom water. It sure makes getting them watered so much easier!

  I put eyelets on the wall and ran fishing line in a web near the ceiling, now i am running my pothos on the lines, tied with small strings. It looks amazing!
