Thank God the girls had each other. Can't imagine living that type of life alone.

When they say that the mother, "Went into shock," that doesn't mean that she was surprised. Shock is a medical condition from insufficient blood flow to the tissues. With multiple placentas, she probably had some significant bloodloss, and the medical team were likely fighting to save her life! The fact that she survived on a rural Canadian farm without running water or electricity is pretty amazing, as well as the girls' survival!
I was a 28-29 wk premie, and an incubator saved my life. I was amazingly healthy for my size and only spent 6 wks in the NICU.
It's sad that those girls were turned into a spectacle like that.

The Dionne quintuplets are my distant cousins on my grandpa's side of the family. Growing up I loved the movies and hearing stories about them, and looking through my grandparents pictures and collectibles. Grandpa even got a Christmas letter back from them when he was a kid, but couldn't read it since it was in French!

What's amazing is that the mom gave natural childbirth to five babies and those five babies survived without The modern medicine that we have today. Miraculous

I can understand the excitement when the quints were born, and that they all survived. It’s heartbreaking that they were exploited, I find it hard to believe that they were truly happy growing up. They missed out on so much, no family gatherings, no school with others, no vacations, no making new friends, etc.. This was sad, and all for money. Not only did these girls missed out but their parents and siblings.

Wow. These poor girls. I am glad they did get to tell their story eventually and get their money back.

I was obsessed with the quints after a made for TV movie came out about them back in the 90s. Such a sad story 😢

As strange and obsessive as this story looks, imagine they had the internet; we are still doing these things today, just not in person 😂😂
