In an interview Ringo gave he talked about the last time he saw George. He was visiting him, and said George was very sick, bedridden by this time, and was so weak he could only whisper. After awhile Ringo stated he had to leave to catch a flight to go help a family member. George looked at him and whispered..Do you want me to come with you? Ringo said he held it together until he got outside then burst into tears. He said George passed two weeks later. Even though it's sad I love that story. It shows the love between them, and George's sense of humor that never faded. Rest in Paradise sweet, beautiful spirit❤❤

What a nice final phrase "His death was a tragedy for the world, but his life was a gift to us all"...

When I was a young hothead, John Lennon was my fave Beatle. As I’ve grown personally and age-wise, George has ascended to the fave spot.

“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams..

George was the best looking Beatle and by 1968 he was writing the top tier home run songs of the band.

His soul, his compassion, his sensitivity and spirituality are still sorely missed, more than 20 years after he left us.

The “Concert for George” DVD is a loving tribute as well as a fantastic display of musicianship. The inclusion of his son Dhani put it over the top. Worth a view and a listen. Over and over
