How does all this relate to Tyrek Lannister being a horse?

Feels like the Varys-Littlefinger example argument is conflating short term goals with long term goals.
Just because both seek to escalate the Stark-Lannister feud doesn’t necessarily mean they want the same end result from it.
Littlefinger wants to create chaos he can leverage to increase his station in life.
Varys wants to destabilise the current regime.

It’s like saying two people get on the same bus and get off at the same stop, therefore they’re now both going to the same place to do the same thing, when in reality one is going to a funeral and the other is going a job interview.
They’ve taken the same route for different reasons.

I think my major criticism of this theory is that rivals doesn't equal enemies. You can (and often do) work with and even help your rivals as long as it's on your interest to do so. I think that is pretty clear that Varys has a specific agenda that he is trying to advance and what that agenda is is still a bit obscure. But war between Starks and Lannisters and the systematic elimination of potential powers in westeros are instrumental goals towards his ends, and Littlefinger is useful as he also wants to bring about those instrumental goals so that he can get what he's due (being lord of the vale with a stand in for Katlyn Tully as his wife). Varys doesn't care about that, but is willing to support Baelish where it makes sense. I think Littlefinger is one more person that Varys is leading along sometimes helping often hindering.

18:14 Varys has a stake in the liar’s FAILURE. He knows Petyr is a powerful, dangerous, and enigmatic political player, who could well complicate the fAegon plot.

As you pointed out in the last video, Varys wants his targets to come to his conclusions themselves. It would be totally against his character to say directly to Cat that Petyr is lying. He wants her to CATCH Petyr in the dagger lie, so he will be complicit in Bran’s assassination attempt, so Eddard will take off his head.

Forcing Littlefinger to make up a story about the dagger that HE previously owned puts him in a TON of trouble of his lie is discovered, which it is by both Cat and Tyrion. If the scheme had gone to plan (without Merillion’s interference by calling Tyrion’s attention to Catelyn), the growing Lannister-Stark tensions could have been resolved by Varys pinning every inciting incident on Littlefinger, by letting both parties catch him in his lie about the dagger.

My problem with these type of theories is that they make Little finger and Varis too OP.

They always read to me more like opportunistics that were in the right place (by their own choice) and with enough resources to take advantage of the situations surrounding them, rathen than machiavellian masterminds that planned every single thing.

38:33 What stops Varys from doing that is that he WANTS NED ALIVE TO DELAY THE WAR. Ned is dangerous to the fAegon plot because he is going to uncover the twincest secret soon. However, what’s MORE dangerous for their plot to prevent war is that Cersei is trying to get King Robert killed, and Ned is the first line of defense against that happening.

Ned is ALSO the ONLY person positioned to find out about the twincest and NOT start a war. Varys knows from their first council meeting (and his reaction to Aegon and Rhaenys’ deaths) that Ned is vehemently against the murder of children, including Targaryen ones. Ned publicly stood against killing Daenerys when even Varys couldn’t. This positions him as a useful political ally for Varys.

Even more importantly, when Ned discovers the incest, he allows Cersei and her children to leave the city, denounce Joffrey’s inheritance, and SURVIVE. This is the ONLY path that AVOIDS war, since consensus (in-world and as stated by GRRM) is that Robert would have Cersei, Jaime, and their abominations killed if he had access to them upon learning the truth, which would obviously start a full-scale war with Tywin immediately.

Ned is THE peacekeeper, and Varys NEEDS him alive. If he were killed discreetly, Winterfell would suspect the Lannisters and start a war anyways because they believe that the Lannisters killed Jon Arryn and tried to kill Bran. Killing Ned is a pure negative for the camp that is trying to preserve peace for as long as possible.

I thought your reasoning in the original video was interesting, but not enough to convince me as a lot of the supported texts quoted were real stretches of logic. I'm about 7 minutes in and this has actually done a lot to convince me the theory is untrue.
"GRRM says that Varys is adverserial, but GRRM is unreliable because he's dropped the ball on when Winds will be complete" simply does not follow at all.
The immediate follow up of " GRRM said that if Robert knew about Jaime and Cersei, he would have killed everyone -BUT! I think he actually did know because I think the supportive text I am quoting is just not true " is equally unconvincing. It don't think it erases Robert's "head in the sand" character at all - Robert probably DOES know Cersei sleeps around, but not with who, and certainly not that those children are not his - this is made possible exactly because of his uninquisitive nature and his general disregard for her affairs.

Another point in your favor that I would like to add is that Little Finger and Varys can be adversarial while also being co-conspirators, it's not a contradiction at all. They are like Sauron and Saruman, they are both evil and acting as a united front against the forces of man but they are planning on betraying the other and in the end intend to defeat the other after their common enemy is dead.
It honestly makes a lot more sense to me that they would work together even while planning each other's demise than if they really were just openly hostile and trying to keep secrets from each other. Information and manipulation is the main weapon both of them have, and like George said they are at a stale mate with the information they have on each other; so playing nice and taking advantage of what the other has to offer makes plenty of sense even if they are adversaries. Baelish wants to control the Vale, the Riverlands and the North with Sansa as his woman, he possibly even wants to be on the iron throne himself. We basically know that's what he's after, and of course Varys would have issues with letting him get all that; but none of that means Varys would just keep Baelish at a distance and only work opposite of him; manipulating people who are trying to gain more power in the game of thrones is what Varys is best at. It's his bread and butter, there's no doubt in my mind that Varys would work with Baelish and play along for as long as it was beneficial to him just like he did with Ned, Cersei, Robert, Tywin, and everybody else we see him talking to.

1:02:22 Once Daenerys’ dragons hatched, marrying her and Young Griff BECAME THE PLAN. The golden company was marching East, TOWARDS MEEREEN, until Tyrion convinced Young Griff to invade Westeros on his own instead. You can’t argue that marrying the two claimants was a good plan that Varys stood against when it literally was a plan they attempted to execute
