  The Western US never disappoints, but this documentary highlights places that truly feel hidden and mysterious. The rock formations, deserts, canyons, and vast open skies create such a powerful atmosphere. The 4K footage makes every detail stand out — you can almost feel the scale and silence of these landscapes.

  Great documentary bringing back memories of the many years I spent coming from Paris in the summer and visiting the Southwest. I was addicted to Grand Canyon and the Utah slot canyons which I generally visited and hiked in late May and spent many days alone in GCN camping. Many times I was moved to tears by the beauty of the sites, the sounds. Early evening and canyon wrens talking to each others, invisible in the cracks of the stone cliffs.<br>I remember the last time, october 2014, on the rim at GCN village. I new that I would not hike anymore in this awesome place when a group of French tourists arrived making shouts and I could not resist saying out loud &nbsp;to my compatriots: &quot;cant anyone here listen to silence&quot;. Only a couple came to me and asked if I lived there and we had a 10 minutes tchat and I pointed in the distance the campsite of Tanner rapid I visited twice before going to the magic of the confluence of the Colorado and Little Colorado and its blue waters.<br>Gosh! How I miss all of that!

  I visited the Bisti Badlands with a couple buddies last year, and it&apos;s the most surreal place I&apos;ve ever been. &nbsp;Incredibly cool, but I wouldn&apos;t recommend getting caught in a thunderstorm with hail. &nbsp;Actually, if you have boots, I DO recommend it.
