Fitness keeps me grounded. Exerting physical energy improves my physical and mental health . Limiting phone use , reading more and now venturing into jigsaw puzzles are also helping me

Dr. Tracey, I would love a video on tips for creating structure - very basic day to day structure systems for adults who grew up in very chaotic and unstructured environments and are now trying to figure out how to create structured lives for the first time. I am realizing lately how much not learning basic organization, housekeeping, schedule keeping, etc habits as a child are impacting me now as an adult.

I’m incredibly grateful to be alive at the same time as you, Dr. Tracey Marks. Hearing you say, 'Thanks for watching today, see you next time,' is such a reassuring reminder of how fortunate I am to have you as my mental health mentor. Your guidance means the world to me.

When I feel unmotivated or lazy, I just tell my self to do it lazy, so I still do 1-2 top tasks and not hitting 6-7 tasks is OK. I agree the flexibility is good.. Great sharing Dr. 👍

having a dog is my best way to keep grounded. They need structure and we love them so we cooperate.

I spend my first moments of the day in praise/prayer. If I catch myself on social media before having done praise/prayer, that's my alarm that my day is starting off track and I reset!

When I do laundry, I put my clothes in the drawers in the order I want to wear them. That way, getting dressed in the morning just means grabbing the next item in order. My work clothes are on the right and regular clothes are on the left. Anything I do before taking meds requires minimal decisionmaking.

One structured habit that helps me is connecting with nature when feeling overwhelmed. It’s life changing

I do my dishes immediately. I grew up cleaning the kitchen after my family. My siblings and I would alternate weeks. When I moved out, I decided that the kitchen would never be a messy stressful place but a tidy one.
