  "Czechia" as a concept did not exist in 1993. Czechoslovakia split into 2 countries: the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The latter became known as Slovakia quite soon after. It would take decades before "Czechia" became a thing. In Eurovision, the Czech Republic competed for many years, it's only in the last few editions that we've competed under the name Czechia. The name Czechia is deeply unpopular amongst the Czechs because a) it sounds too similar to Chechnya, b) it was brought about by a populist president that's quite hated. Most Czechs still refer to it as the Czech Republic. The reason for the names is that Slovensko is the Czech name for Slovakia. Cesko is the Czech name for the Czech Republic. Many countries have the "sko" ending in Czech (Finsko = Finland, Turecko = Turkey, Bulharsko = Bulgaria). So, I'm 49 seconds into the video and you're already wrong once and been rude about the 2 countries once. It doesn't bode well.

  I allways found it funny that 🇨🇿 and 🇸🇰 have never been able to vote for eachother until 2023 when the rest of the world was added

  There's an interesting sliding door about a Czechoslovakian (now Czech) artist: Lenka Filipovà was allegedly the chosen one to sing "Ne partez pas sans moi" back in 1988, but at the end of the day she was denied the pass to go out of the country and Celine Dion was chosen instead

  Here in Czechia, Eurovision have never generated any significant interest of the public for some reason, in contrast to  other countries. .....   I was actually quite surprised how 'iconic' and popular  the show is in other countries

  As somebody who has listened to every song from the 2009 and 2010 Slovak National Finals, they are SURPRISINGLY good. <br>Like genuinely some of my favorite national final entries of all time are in there. They just happened to choose what I’d consider the worst option in 2009, and then got truly robbed in 2010.

  As a Slovak, I never cared (or really even knew) about eurovision but I still, for some reason, very much enjoyed this video. The flow of the video is really nice, editing perfectly simple and this together with your dry humor made it so I never lost attention or interest despite my lack of care for the topic. Just wanted to leave this comment as a praise. Keep it up
