  One of the most useful things I integrated into judge calls is actually something I learned at work: &quot;Escalations are for both of us, not just for me.&quot;<br><br>In the Riftbound context I like to frame it to my opponent as &quot;I&apos;m also here to learn how this interaction plays out, let&apos;s learn together from the judge.&quot;

Communicate everything you do as clearly as you can and it will avoid so many judge calls and other issues. Clearly pass focus/priority. Announce what your costs are to make clear that you are paying them properly. Announce every trigger that happens and what action it&apos;s allowing. If your opponent is not communicating well, voice the communication for them by confirming all of their actions as they do them. Staying on top of communication like this will keep the full integrity of the game while minimizing the need for extraneous judge calls.
