  I am nearing my 3 month journey in Riftbound soon and so far, the biggest improvement I've done has been in identifying acceptable losses (pun intended with the card). There are many combats I tried to contest too much, thinking I abaolutely needed to stop my opponent from setting up their game plan at all costs.

  I just got into riftbound this week, but I&apos;ve been playing mtg for over a year now. I think the first 3-5 months of mtg I only won about 2 games. Then I started to write notes after each game about my deck (esp if I lost and what I thought my deck needed) and including lots of hours in mtg arena to learn triggers helped me out a lot.

  I&apos;m really new but I think my main issue so far having quite a slow deck is not being aggressive enough when I play units because trying to keep them back just keeps me behind on pace. Also knowing when to just let a combat resolve without using all my resources every time.

  Tbh I needed this video because I’ve making too many changes to my deck. Which made my deck &nbsp;lose identity and me losing all the lines I’ve practiced. I’ve since swapped many cards back and had a better experience identifying my good decisions vs mistakes.

  Also, just because you improve, doesn&apos;t mean you&apos;ll magically start beating the best players at locals and especially bigger tournaments. <br><br>If you are in the top 30% of your local area and you improve 5% over the course of a month, you&apos;ll probably only gain like a 1-2% increase in win rate because you haven&apos;t surpassed everyone already ahead in skill yet. <br><br>People have to respect that some people have a decade or more of experience in TCGs over them that can&apos;t be overcome over night from a few guides and a few weekly tournaments.

  My biggest mistakes were trying to control too early, overextending board presence to keep up with point tempo (and then losing board presence when i misread their counterplays), and missing reads from generically read information such as previous reveals (diana lunari) or easy to know telegraphed interactions

  My problem is rather that I have the energy to play 8-12 matches a month. In unleashed I played only 3 Nexus nights. <br>The incremental card knowledge growth isn&apos;t there anymore. <br>Therefore I struggle with knowing which deck runs cards that can kill my tempo. (E.g with &nbsp;lee sin cull the weak could easily set me 2 points behind, if I make the mistake to attack with small units and have no combat trick left to try and save it)<br><br>Last Nexus night I learned for shen that a vilemore drop his his one best way to stabilize even when at a back foot. My mistake was to spend to much power with safety hide cards

  Great content, I know the real reason I am not winning more is because I Don&apos;t have any Chaos decks haha
