When 76mm guns were demanded, they were already available in stocks in Britain, and 76mm guns were in use on the M-10 tank destroyers. When entering service, the Sherman could match most German tanks using the 75mm. Tiger tanks in North Africa were defeated with 75mm guns.

The Germans had Mercedes Benz, mybach, Porsche, audi etc. German tech is something else in addition to jet planes. Mass production like armor, with hot dogs ex. And the Ford Assembly line production was the winner, just as Amazon with it's automated Assembly does wonder. Which is why if a package is stolen they will replace it because the rapid production pays for the insurance of replacing the item. Machine or man, it's about the numbers . So industry is the winner
