  Currently that would be about $168.00 in gold. The acids are not hard to find (depending on your country), Sulfuric is drain cleaner, Hydrochloric is concrete cleaner/etcher, the Nitric is the expensive one but can be ordered at your local hardware store or online, the acids are used to put the gold in solution so you can purify the gold. Sodium Metabisulfate (SMB) is stump out and causes the gold to drop out of solution, rinse and repeat, wash it thoroughly, dry and melt. A few hours of actual effort and about $30.00 in chems for $168.00. Seems worth it to me.

  I am happy you still remember your chemistry. I think that buying a gold pellet is a lot cheaper for me to make jewelry. This route won&apos;t save me money. Also, panning for gold would be more fun and chemical free
