  Working at a main agent in the seventies and early eighties, the first Acclaim I sold at the launch night in the showroom was to an old customer of the business. The trade in was a 1964 Rover 110 that the guy had bought new at the same dealership. Imagine going from the P4 to the Acclaim! <br>Cheers fellas, entertaining vid!

  Got me thinking with times being tight on the wallet that even a lot of interest in a car is only really interest at or around the estimate, there&apos;s just not as many people willing to stretch their budget to match their interest in the present climate.

  The VW Corrado was a legend of a car for the youth that did NOT want to be seen in the chav equivalent from Ford or Vauxhall , your boy should buy it and enjoy the 1990s !!!

  Bit of a coincidence but only yesterday I was looking online at vw Corrados for sale, I absolutely love that little triumph, I think I honestly love anything that reminds me of my youth

  The only thing Triumph about that Acclaim is the badge, the whole car is basically a Honda Accord with Triumph badges.

  Triumph Acclaim was a great car , which because it ended up costing more to produce each unit than it sold for, they had to drop it. Typical of the British car industry at the time.
