I'll never forget this day. It was a Tuesday . Around 6 that night my younger sister called to tell me he'd died. We were in shock. I would be woken the next morning at 7 to the news my sister died early that morning. She was 40. Our last conversation was about Halliday dying and how shook we were. It's insane

Roy Halladay was the pitcher on the mound when I went to my first MLB game. He threw a no hitter up until the 9th inning when they got on base with a weak base hit to left. The dude became my favorite pitcher ever since

The day he died is the second notable baseball memory that I have. I was born in 2011 in Chicago, a natural Cubs fan, and watching them win the World Series at 4 years old, that was my first memory. My second was coming back from school and seeing my brother in the living room dead silent and in shock, I knew who Roy was, from the perfect game to the playoff no-hitter, it was a true shock to the baseball world. Rest in Peace, Doc

as a Blue Jays fan, I'll say, I don't remember him for his death. I remember the fact that, even though I cheered for some horrible Blue Jays teams, I cheered for some horrible Blue Jays teams with the best pitcher in the league. And 1 in every 5 days, I would get a show.

Wearing his jersey right now…my favorite baseball player (from my era, grew up watching him a bit). RIP, Doc.

Been a blue jays fan for most of my life majorly because of Roy, his loss and lack of help is a constant reminder to check in on your friends and family. It's disappointing because he easily could of been a coach to continue his passion. Look into Chris Carpenter's reaction when he found out about the accident. Rip to Doc the legend.

I never met Roy but had the privilege of watching him pitch in Philly. RIP Legend.

The Jays often weren't very good when he was here unfortunately, but what a pleasure it was to watch him pitch every 5 days. RIP Roy, we love you

Found out about it and I was so damn sad, was my favourite Jays player growing up, named one of my cats after him and the only jersey I’ve ever owned was a Roy Halladay jersey. He was taken far too soon.

As a jays fan it was a slap in the face he didn't retire as one of us. Our front office sucked at the time

I remember where I was that day. I was working in the office and I heard from the guy next to me who read it at his desk and said it aloud and we all stopped work for a little bit
