  If you watch closely, Hurtado at various times during this fight does an interesting flurry of hammer fist/chopping motion at Whitakers neck area. That frenetic flurry motion would throw Whitaker off a bit. Overtaxing a naturally defensively minded boxer, but not textbook technique that a schooled fighter like Whitaker is a master of countering.

  I was quite surprised by Hurtado's savagery and dirty tactics. The fight was quite interesting however, and brought back memories of my early sparring matches. Once Whitaker knew he was in power, never let back.

  Whitaker was losing this fight and did something he actually was not known for but those 8 or 9 over hand lefts was as brutal as I have ever seen from a 140 pounder
