  Best honest review I’ve seen a tradesman saying as it is ,these vans all got out of hand with the thanks of Vw people paying 60k for a van get a grip vans are meant to be for the working class tradesman ,20k is a lot for MWB BUT 55k that’s RangeRover money as they are about reliable as the wet belt engine .Go back to the roots of the vans when you could get a decent van for 10-15k max ,spot on with the video 👊

  I'm a self employed Gardener/Handyman and I use a 2009 Subaru Forester, pretty economical to run, flat loading boot, and with the back seats down I can get a 1850mm x 950mm garden gate flat in the back, plus if I put the front passenger seat flat down I can get 3000mm lengths in the car from the front footwell to the back

  Nobody is paying retail for any vans.<br>A brand new transit custom diesel is £31k for a limited manual 2 litre. Plus vat.<br>I just put a new wetbelt on my current custom.<br>55 thousand miles.<br>3 oil services from new.<br>Mechanic gave me the old belts .<br>They were in mint condition.<br>Wouldnt have known they did 55K<br>All this scaremongering about the wetbelt is mostly vans that are never serviced and do 80 thousand miles in 2 years.<br>Has this guy never driven a van before ?<br>With no load in the back of course the ride will be firm.

  I&apos;m a chippy, all my vans over the years get bashed about. I always look after them mechanically with regular servicing and maintenance etc but they do just get wrecked on site. Like you say If I had a 55k van on site id be constantly worried about damage especially in a non white van as dents look worse in my opinion. My mates wet belt went at 18k so that&apos;s also a big no no for me. Heated seats/steering wheels are for the Mrs on the chilly school run, I don&apos;t want or need any of this silliness in my vans.

  Van prices are absolutely bonkers now, bought my limited for 15k no vat less than 1 yr old , 12k mikes from ford Loughborough, <br>5 yrs later worth 15k on autotrader,😅<br>Keeping it as long as poss,<br>Made sure i changed belt and services every year, never miissed a beat

  Great Video. Really enjoyed it. I&apos;ve got a 2014 2.2 transit custom remapped to 190 hp.What a lovely drive. things are just going wrong so choices choices a hard van to follow. Remembering the old transits. I&apos;ve still got weld splatter scars on my arms and chest. Rust wise they&apos;ve come on leaps and bounds from the old ones.
