  My wife and I used to think we were being too strict with our kids, but I’m so glad I came across this video because these are exactly the three things we’ve always encouraged them to do. Our daily goal is to make sure they get 8–9 hours of sleep, read two chapters every day during the summer, and spend time playing outdoors. They’re still allowed to use gadgets, but we set reasonable time limits (of course, no playing of gadgets during school days!). We’ve found that having a healthy balance between sleep, reading, outdoor play, and screen time works well for our family.

  This is why I pulled my child from the conventional school.<br>He now plays with wood,chicken,garden etc.until he is 8yrs old

  Intentionality....I got that part right as I raised my 2 daughters born 1967 and 1970. &nbsp;I especially found taking them to a park with slides and swings, etc...right after picking them up from school. We had a nice backyard and their school had grounds for play however it was more relaxed and they loved being outdoor and seeing other children besides their schoolmates. A big benefit was how well they fell asleep &amp; slept well all night.
