  I live on Afton Mountain part of the Blueridge Mountains &amp; I&apos;m here to you that I&apos;ve seen &amp; heard some strange things. Some things are just flat unexplainable!! My Grand daddy Powers was &nbsp;Cherokee who was born in Greenbrier County W. VA. He&apos;d say just because everybody don&apos;t believe in things don&apos;t make it untrue.

  Love the channel. Could you do an episode on The Brown Mountain Lights. I went lookin for em a lot. Finally saw em 1 time. It scared me to death. But I stayed and watched for a few hours

  Great episode, J.D. The old folks down here always had some creepy tales for us young people to keep us from wandering too far off in the swamps and keep us out of the graveyards at night especially when we got the urge for something and convinced ourselves that we could find Jean Laffite’s treasure to pay for it. Every ridge and marsh island held ghosts and monsters waiting to drag us down to hell with them if we wandered into their earthly realms. I really enjoy those tales and you have a great talent for passing them on. BTW, that’s a beautiful collection of instruments you have in the background. All the best to you and yours.

  I used to look forward to watching cartoons on Saturday mornings. (They don&apos;t even really have Saturday morning cartoons anymore 😢) but now I look forward to The Appalachian Storytellers videos every Saturday morning. Thanks for the videos and ask the work and research you just do to make such great and informative as well as accurate as possible videos. I think the history of this region is very important to be kept alive, recorded, talked about and remembered.
