Inside the John Wayne Museum with Marisa Wayne | Behind the Museum (Part 2)

Step inside John Wayne: An American Experience in the Fort Worth Stockyards with John Wayne’s youngest daughter, Marisa Wayne. In this behind-the-scenes tour of the John Wayne Museum, Marisa shares personal stories and memories of her father, John Wayne, and gives viewers a closer look at the museum’s collection and his life beyond the silver screen. Marisa recalls growing up on the Wayne family’s 26 Bar Ranch in Arizona, adventures aboard John Wayne’s Wild Goose, and car rides with her father in his custom Grand Safari Station Wagon in Newport Beach, California. She also shares memories of attending the Oscars with John Wayne and tells the surprising story of what happened while she was on location in Oregon during the filming of "Rooster Cogburn" (1975). “Every opportunity he had, he made somebody feel special. He really had that personal touch, and it has transcended generations and gone well beyond the movie screen. It wasn’t an act, he really was a genuine, great guy.” —Marisa Wayne Explore John Wayne: An American Experience, the official John Wayne Museum located in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
