  Fun Fact: The author of the series is an active practitioning Internist and is the son and grandson of physicians. Everything he wrote for Ameku M.D. is grounded in actual medical facts. If he wrote anything medical false, he would&apos;ve been lambasted by his father, grandfather, and close doctors in the hospital he works at 🤣<br><br>Also, if Mouse got triggered by episode 1, she&apos;ll be in a world of cliffhangers in the other episodes.

  The author of Ameku MD is an actual doctor, so the writing is not unreasonable. That said, I think there&apos;s a bit of east/west misunderstanding, like with the fish and parasites. People who eat Sushi/Sashimi tend to know this. You need to freeze the fish to kill any parasites before you eat it. This is why you don&apos;t &quot;make fresh sashimi&quot; with a freshwater fish. You either cook it, or you take it home and freeze it.

Thus, the conclusion is that the tanline implies an outdoor hobby, particularly one that he can sit and not be on his feet for long periods of time. <br><br>Unlike in America and Europe, Japan doesn&apos;t have a lot of casual outdoor space, since useable land is very scarce. Thus, you don&apos;t have a lot of things like cafe patios where old men like the patient might sit outside and spend the day chatting with other retirees. There&apos;s also a cultural stigma in Japan against adults even as young as early 30&apos;s going to beaches and &quot;showing off skin&quot;. Other outdoor activities like hiking/mountain climbing would also be ruled out on account of his reliance on a cane. Culturally, the two most common candidates for this kind of long-term outdoor hobby would be either a baseball fan spending hours on the bleachers, or a fisher spending hours on a dock. The cut on his hand is what determined between the two.

  In fairness to the parasite thing, that shit&apos;s way more common in raw fish eating Japan so doctors there are likely to recognize symptoms and have the possibility in mind.

  Not gonna lie the chat in mousey&apos;s stream probably watched to many bad investigation show that they says this show is shit with reasoning that can easily be rebuttal in court 😂<br>For mousey I understand because she&apos;s impatient and probably hate this type of detective show

  It does work as a proper mystery. Cliffhangers are an important part of it. Though of course, TV series are ill-suited for a mystery genre, since it makes you wait weeks for an answer. But as long as you are given all clues, the detective doesn&apos;t even have to point out that there is a clue there, it&apos;s up to reader/viewer to notice. The only thing that disqualifies this as a mystery is that there was no prior explanation of all possible causes of that blue blood. But that comes with it being a medical mystery instead of an ordinary one, it might challenge doctors in specific and not just ordinary audience.
