  I have lived in that area for almost 66 years. Spent my life hunting, hiking and camping there. I can tell you from first hand experience that there are things in our physical realm that we’re not supposed to understand. Nobody knew that better than the Seneca confederation that occupied that region. Those woods a magnificently beautiful in the light but can be positively terrifying when the sun goes down.<br>I will tell you that if you hear a baby crying or a woman’s voice softly asking for help, it’s time to pack it up for the night and head out!

  I retired from my job as natural gas well tender in central Pennsylvania in January 2025. The company I worked for plugged a number of wells at a cost of $42,000 each. There is an estimated 250,000 abandoned gas and oil wells in Pennsylvania from what I&apos;ve read.

  I&apos;ve been up in that national forest north of Kane, Pa., and it&apos;s a very mountainous, dense, dark, spooky wilderness. Always gave me the creeps!

  LOL I live in this area 30 mins west of it actually. Probably where you live you walk out through the woods and you see ferns. Here you walk out through the woods and you also see ferns but for a every Fern there is a well casing Sum are full of water all the way to the top. Few of the old ones have caps. All of the new ones have a reducer head on them more modern setup those ones are all either hooked up and still producing gas are there simply just plugged off with a small plug some have a valve on top that is closed. The rest of them still have pump jacks on them and when we are truly in an oil shortage those pump jacks or pumping. Right now it&apos;s a false shortage there&apos;s no room to store the crude oil if they pumped them so most of them are not running or if they do they only run for a short period of time just to fill the lines and the tanks back up. You see this area predicts when there&apos;s an oil shortage because when there is every pump jack in the area will be running not setting idle like they are now lol. And yes every open well that isn&apos;t full of water breathe they always have and it scares the hell out of some people in that business. The moon-eyed people are something else that scares people around these parts, there is a good reason why people carry a firearm most of the time around here between really big black bear, Fisher cats, little bobcats, and big kitty cats that fish and wildlife say don&apos;t exist but even hybrid large coyotes which we have a ton of do not cash a full sized adult deer after they kill it that is something only big kitty cats do.

  Im from Latrobe &nbsp;about 2 hours 30 minutes south of kinzu resivor. &nbsp;Ive been camping and hiking in the allegating national forest quite a few times. &nbsp;One night, me and my girlfriend were in out tent camping in the woods close to kinzu something was walking around our camp site through the woods. &nbsp;I kept my 12 gauge pump loaded and we stayed up all night. &nbsp;It was the strangest encounter with what im not sure but it sounded heavy. &nbsp;I think it was a Bigfoot but I am not sure. &nbsp;I mag dumped my 357 1 time whatever it was didn&apos;t leave. That lake is over 125 feet deep in some places. Fishing still proves to be difficult. &nbsp;I was there last 2 summers ago for boating and camping. &nbsp;Never had an issue after that. <br><br>I do know Pennsylvania has some of the best crude oil on the planet

  I know this area, i have a buddy that has a thousand acres near there that we hunt every year. Weird shit happens sometimes. Twice ive had what i could only describe as giant baboons &nbsp;screaming at us.
