  "Global warming" is such a threat that we have to colonize the moon, where the daytime temperature is 250 degrees Fahrenheit? Who thinks up this nonsense?

  Moving to the moon (or Mars) from Earth is like someone moving to a dilapidated home that has no resources from a big beautiful home with lots of resources, simply because they don't know how to take care of the latter. This has nothing to do with "exploration" or "curiosity". Human stupidity knows no bounds.

  NASA's Artemis II mission is currently targeted to launch as early as February 6, 2026, sending four astronauts on a crewed flyby around the Moon—the first human mission to lunar vicinity since Apollo 17 in 1972.

  First home, Earth. Its also in space. Reminder. Keep it instead of your destruction mode right now. You want to live in a desert on Mars? pff... sort out your problems on Earth first before spending money on leaving.

  I would be careful in underestimating a physics first principles thinker. If you&apos;re able to start bringing fuel to a Starship, that&apos;s already in orbit. Then Starship tankers can give it a full tank of fuel to go to Mars.<br>If you also have Starship tankers that can go to the moon and start making fuel on the moon, or Starships can go to a lunar orbit, refuel and go to Mars. The moons gravity is less so if we manufacture or launch Starships from the moon this will use less fuel and create less costs to go further. Of course, with the abundance of helium 3 on the moon, the idea of creating a nuclear fusion Starship is right around the corner. There is no radioactive waste, so it will be safer for Astronauts, scientists and anyone using it.
