Some of the info is not accurate. In 1990 the Gibson motorsport R32 GTR made its debut at Bathurst but it finished in 18th place due to drivetrain issues. In Australia the Gibson motor sport R32 GTR race car was the best car competing at Bathurst in 1991 and they won by a full lap over the second placed car. The following year the Gibson Motorsport GTR was penalized by additional weight approx 100kg and the competition lost weight approx 100kg and the R32 GTR still won Bathurst in 1992. At the end on 1992 the racing official decided to change the whole racing category and banned all cars from overseas. The Aussies nicked name the R32 GTR Godzilla. Gibson motor sport team built the fastest R32 GTR and most reliable for racing. It had approx 630bhp approx in racing trim and 700bhp in qualifying trim. in 1992 the crowd booed the first place Nissan GTR at Bathurst because they were sick of seeing it dominate the race. They wanted a Ford or Holden to win Bathurst. Bathurst was a 1000km race it took between 6 to 7 hours to complete. Each Lap was around 6.2km long.
