  Thank you for sharing Helene Schjerbeck’s art and life with us. I consider myself a amateur art historian because I had to study “ the gaze” and it’s history across the centuries in western art and I had not ever seen  her work or heard of her.  Hearing her story and seeing her artwork gives me the courage to surmount my middle aged task of caretaking for relatives without abandoning my need for creating art.  You presented the reality of being hemmed in by life but  the possibility of surpassing obstacles through focusing your energy in the direction of your art -so encouraging. I will return to this video and share with my friends. All the best to you.

  Helene&apos;s own personal life experiences was honored thru her creative works. Few women<br>were able to express, nor explore.

  Wise people &nbsp;know you cannot find yourself in traveling, you must look for who you are in your own surroundings. I came across &nbsp;her works a few years &nbsp;ago and found them refreshingly beautiful and honest.

  I so enjoyed learning about this artist. I relate to the feeling of not being creative enough- sort of lost in all the options. However, I am starting to understand that until one finds their ‘thing’, there is a lot of confusion around the ‘what’. As you have shown, even a trained and highly skilled artist needs to find this- away from the maddening crowd. <br>Beautiful and thoughtful narrative. 🙌🙏
