The excluded comments should be told--the sexual exploitation of young boys and the forced castrating of young boys. Teams of men were regularly sent out to scour villages for " beautiful boys." These trips were so routine that parents maimed their sons to make them less desirable! TELL THE TRUTH!

Ibrahim did not marry one of Sueilyman’s sisters. He married the grand daughter of the couple who bought him as a 10 year old in the slave market and raised him.

Writing a fictional story about Hurrem and Suleiman I’m obviously taking a lot of liberty’s considering it’s in a fantasy setting, but this video really helped me understand their relationship a lot better! They genuinely seem so in love I think it’s adorable.

If Ibrahim and Hurrem were acrually intelligent, they would have created a bond instead of being enemies.

I'm sorry, but there are no reports that Hatice married Ibraim Pahsa. 😅

I am a Muslim and have studied Islamic Sharia a little. There are many differences in madhhabs regarding fiqh. The Ottoman Sultanate followed the Hanafi madhhab, where there was a rule that a master could have sexual intercourse with his slave. If she had a child, her lineage would be to her mother and she would not inherit from her master. But the Shafi'i and Ahmad Hanbali madhhabs prohibit that, and it falls under adultery. The Hanafi madhhab was born earlier than other madhhabs (Maliki, Shafi'i, Ahmad Hanbali), where slavery was still rampant at that time, long before the Quran was revealed. Sheikh Hanafi gave initial rules from the customs of Jahiliyyah before Islam entered.
