  Fun fact: because of growing up on Animal Crossing, when my Hawai`ian friend invited me to her family&apos;s guest house and I went to the aquarium, I could easily identify like 90% of the fish there. People thought I was very smart and well-studied, especially because I could back the identification up with a couple fun facts 😂

  Just so you know, if you called a scorpion an arachnid and someone &quot;corrected&quot; you they&apos;re wrong lol. While spiders are the arachnids most people think of when they hear arachnid, scorpions are ALSO in the arachnida class alongside orders like ticks, mites, pseudocroprions, and vinegaroons, among others. They&apos;re all arthropods, they&apos;re just a more specific class of arthropods. Now, the common &quot;bugs&quot; that AREN&apos;T arthropods, those are snails and slugs. Those are gastropods, mollusks, which are an entirely different phylum from arthropods. Also worms, like earthworms, which are another third thing which aren&apos;t arthropods OR mollusks. Not to be confused with, like, inchworms, which ARE insects, just larval forms of geometer moths.<br>(Now, if you want to get into the minutiae, there IS a distinction between &quot;bugs&quot; and bugs - True bugs, hemiptera, are their own order within the insect class. But like, the average person isn&apos;t gonna know the difference between a shield bug and a beetle, so you&apos;re generally fine to just call terrestrial arthropods bugs. Hell, call aquatic ones bugs too if you want. Shrimps is bugs.)
