  Before Covid, we took our teenage kids on an RV trip from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, down to the Grand Canyon, and then back to Salt Lake. Fullfilled one of my duties as an American dad, and had a great time.

  As a child, my family piled in our station wagon and drove from west of Seattle to NY state. It took us a week!!<br>It felt like the longest part was Montana!

  I am born and raised in the U.S. I can tell you for a fact (because I have done it) there are two Portlands in the U.S. One is in Oregon, near the Pacific Ocean, and the other is in Maine, right on the Atlantic Ocean. It doesn’t matter which way you go, east to west or west to east, the miles are the same. 3,000 miles (4,800 Km). That is three days of driving if you don’t stop. It is five days if you need to eat, sleep, maybe shower? And four time zones.

  In the 70s , my grandmother and i traveled from emmett, Idaho to the state of Missouri and back. We came within 30 miles of the state Capitol of Missouri.

  Your outro is so very correct. &nbsp;When you see things every day, they become part of the background, they become everyday. &nbsp;<br>The large stores with huge varieties of merchandise is all about trying to be more convenient, in order to get more of your money.<br>Most people don&apos;t travel outside the U.S. because there is so much variety here, many of us don&apos;t get to see much of it as it is. &nbsp;Another reason is the cost. &nbsp;Most people I know don&apos;t have enough money to travel out of state, and globe trotting is even more expensive.<br>So we get a little piece of enjoying cultures, we get a little peace of mind through watching these videos. &nbsp;We get to enjoy the bewilderment and wonder second hand. &nbsp;The best we can do.<br>So the videos and shared experiences are appreciated! &nbsp;Thank you all!

  I&apos;ve ridden my motorcycle all over the country, hitting every state in the continental US. Actually I&apos;ve probably done it multiple times over the decades.
