"We've never been right. What's the point of continuing now?
You do it your way, and I'll do it the correct way." —
John Paul Jones, as recounted by Jason Bonham. Do you think
Jones's contributions to Led Zeppelin have been genuinely
underrated compared to Page, Plant, and Bonham — or is that
just how it looks from the outside?

The JPJ solo album rocks so much harder than either Plant or Page's solo projects

Excluding JPJ from the 94 project was just a bad choice. The songs would have been better.

I’d also like to add that Jason Bonham would have saved Zeppelins performance that day.

Interesting upload..I better get back to keeping guitarists happy getting them that core Jimmy Page guitar tone.

Odd sometimes, what happens to subtitles/closed captions. "Verbatim" becoming "forbade him". Eye-rolling. Doink. 😮😅

In the picture at the end, his bass has 4 tuning machines and the bridge has 5 strings on it.
Pretty cool I guess.

Page had a fascination with Alister Crowley and my understanding is that Jones didn't join the other three in a pact with Satan, ie. going to the 'crossroads'. Jones was the odd man out and estranged from the other three. He cryptically mentioned this at their 1995 RnR Hall of Fame induction.

* Glynn Johns did NOT produce anything Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page was Zeppelin's producer, no matter what Glynn or anyone else might say.
