  5.3 iron block in my 05 sierra...forged internals...88 mm turbo ..meth injection...750whp +/- all day on 20lbs😊

  5.3 is just a workhorse you can’t really go wrong with it

  6.0 iron block 4.8 crank and 6" rods with forged pistons would run all day @ 6-8k rpm 513 rear gear with 4l80 was probably the funnest motor I've ever owned would eat dodges for breakfast

  6.0 LS L77 V8 Holden Commodore and Pontiac G8 and Chevy Caprice PPV, Chevy SS , L94 6.2 V8.

  5th gen Camaro here with lq9 forged internals  , ls3 heads and twin turbos. I’m happy with this choice.

  I am a fan of the 5.3s . I put one in a 70c-10.  Added Same generation z06 valvtrain and cam with a tune 400hp and 430tq to wheels for not much money. Stock ecu pulled from whatever vehicle.  Hp tuners.  Swap harness. Done

  The benefit of the aluminum l92 is that it’s half the weight. I bought one for my e36 and a Texas speed cam for the vvt delete.

  Thanks sir, I spent too much time searching for information. I was undecided between the 5.3 and 6.0, both for pickup trucks, since I wanted one for my '79 Ford F100, but thanks to you, I'm clear about it. New subscriber!

  All good engines, i opted for the ly6 6.0 with the ls3 heads. Great for boost with iron block and aluminium heads

  1. The LQ9 Cast Iron LSTruck block. 2. The L92 Cadillac Escalade Heads  and top end, bored and stroked, titanium shorties, Eagle crank, Ross racing rod, vinolia pistons. And have yourself a (LQ9 426) as my AZ plate read. After HP tuners did the 3rd run on the duno in 110 degree heat it was putting out 467 rear wheel horse power naturally aspirated . I have a couple vids of the Dyno and the engine of the 05 GTO in my video history. I could smoke the tired on the freeway until it would start to loose the lane. And drift oh wh needs to make normal left and right turns. Just use the throttle and a little counter steering until strait let off and hit the gas again.

  The LS3 is awesome, have one in my 2013 Grand Sport.  Nothing to do but oil changes for 100k miles.. There’s a reason they swap this engine in classic Corvettes, Chevelles & Camaros…
