  Thanks for watching the very first video on the channel!<br><br>The original ILM Star Destroyer miniature is one of my favorite filming models ever built. Studying the way they layered surface detail and lighting to suggest scale is endlessly fascinating.<br><br>Are there other classic film miniatures or iconic ships you&apos;d like to see explored in future builds?

  As someone who usually builds gunpla, seeing the detail on this thing is positively mind-inverting, I feel like a medieval peasant seeing two people play a game of laser tag it’s absurd

  The conning tower for the A New Hope Star Destroyer had a different, taller tractor beam design than the ones on the destroyers in Empire. The A New Hope tractor beam supports were shaped like an X. &nbsp;The ones in Empire were parallel horizontal pieces.

  I have seen a version in which, in 1996, a new opening sequence for Episode IV was recreated specifically for 70mm IMAX presentations using miniatures from The Empire Strikes Back. At that time, instead of flipping the miniature upside down, it was filmed on its side.

  This is so awesome man! I appreciate that you showcase how Bandai has some incredible kits outside of just Gundam. Your personal touch on the lighting and the kit really makes this one stand out and give it that studio/museum quality look! Looking forward to the next video!
