  Supposedly, the inclusion of the cat was an afterthought, and he was animated separately, so there&apos;s no acknowledgement from the man. May be &nbsp;apocryphal. Still a classic and I always loved it.

  I saw this cartoon in my 3rd grade class in 1973 with a real fire man doing a lecture on fire related safety tips showing &nbsp;a series of four, 16 millimeter projector films on fire safety . &nbsp;the other films &nbsp;were quite boring and forgettable but Hot Stuff was played last. &nbsp;It was funny as hell. &nbsp;In the 1980&apos;s It was frequently played on Pay TV First Choice Super Channel as an intermission short between featured movies. until recently &nbsp; &nbsp;I assumed this film was lost media.
