A year and a half before ENTERPRISE debuted, a Navy buddy of mine emailed me. He said "You'll never guess who toured my boat today!" His boat was the submarine USS Houston. He then said it was Berman & Bragga and some other people from Paramount and that they were taking pictures of the submarine interior for reference for a new Star Trek prequel show. When I eventually saw the ENT premiere, I instantly recognized all the elements they absorbed from that tour... from the brightwork on the ship to the uniforms. For this reason, ENT will always be close to my memories of serving in the US Naval Submarine Service. The NX-01 was a submarine in space.

Can we all agree Jeffery Combs was just masterful in his portrayal of so many characters ?

You cannot tell the story of how Enterprise failed without mentioning how Les Moonves, head of CBS at the time, HATED Sci-fi and actively worked against the show. I still believe Enterprise would’ve gotten at least one more season if not for him.

As someone who watched every Star Trek series when they originally aired, I always appreciated the originality and spirit of the Enterprise opening credits.

Jolene Blalock doesn't get nearly enough credit for how well she did as a Vulcan and even more so playing T'pol, legitimately one of the best characters to roll out of that show

Now come on! The Vulcans in Enterprise were great! It added a lot of depth and background - showing that there was struggle and adding some background to the Vulcan-Romulan split.

And yes, T'Pol as first officer makes perfect sense for Archer - she greatly surprised him on their first mission - respecting his wishes and values, being dependable while also voicing opposition and providing experience. Hell, she even went against Vulcan High Command (revealing secrets) and shown that while being part of the crew, the crew comes first - before her own government. Archer was impressed as heck and humbled enough to recognize that they need her (and yes, Enterprise would've been destroyed without her taking command). I love how she eventually gained their love and respect.

The 90s and early 2000s were the absolute peak of tv space sci-fi. Star Trek:TNG, Star Trek:DS9, Star Trek:Voyager, Enterprise, Farscape, Stargate:SG-1, Stargate:Atlantis, Babylon 5, Firefly, Space:Above and Beyond, and Battlestar Galactica.

Season 4 finally had things becoming good. Explaining the change in Klingon appearance to make sense in universe was absolutely top shelf.

I liked Enterprise and it should have run longer. The last episode however…

Vulcans aren't UNABLE to lie, they choose not to unless it absolutely cannot be avoided

Enterprise is one of my favorite. It was cancelled because Les Moonves, the head of CBS at the time hated scifi, so one of the first things he did was to cancelled it. It kept getting better, first season alway start off rocky.
