  What you said about race problems is absolutely right!!! I feel the same way!! I'm an old white woman and I lived through some of the horrible problems of the 50's and 60's. My Dad told me in a very straight forward way, he said, "you NEVER judge someone by the color of their skin, but by their character and their heart." He lived by that opinion his whole life. I never heard  him say one word against anyone of another color, nationality or ethnic group. I never forgot what he taught me about that. I taught my 4 children the same thing. You're right, we're all human beings, color shouldn't mean anything, shouldn't have anything to do with our treatment of others, God's word tells us to love one another, there was no exceptions there!!!!!! Thanks for this video, I've seen it several times. Best sports documentary I've ever seen, hope you enjoy it too!!! I enjoy your reactions, keep up the good work young man, God bless you!!!

  Best sports documentary ever made. Compare the team photos from 1978 to 1992. That smile on Bird's face is Magic's influence. Those tears and choked up when Magic reminisces about Bird's call, that's Larry's influence.

  I was born in 1974 in a city just south of Boston, raised there during the 80’s. I come from a family of Italian immigrants and hard work meant everything. That’s how it was back then in New England, and that’s why Larry is so beloved. I got to see him play once as a kid at the old Garden. One of my best childhood memories.

  Thank you!  I love this story... A lot of things that people dont know today. These guys had heart and character. Larry was traumatized when he heard Magics news. Larry also got a divorce before he was 20 and wasn't allowed to ever see his baby ever. A lot of tough times. His story about leaving 6th grade to go play with the restaurant workers. All grown "brothers", and he was 12 or 13. You know he learned from them, too.

  Great heartfelt reaction.  I saw Bird play at Indiana State and you could see he was going to be a special player in the NBA.  The Magic and Bird story transcends basketball.

  I&apos;m a 61 year old white woman and I was raised in the country in a holler and I was probably 8 or 9 year&apos;s old before I ever met a black person because there weren&apos;t any black family&apos;s that lived out in that area...the first black person I met was the gentleman that delivered the cooking gas tanks to our house and every 2 or 3 months he would come and replace them...the first time he came out one of nephews who was a year younger than me went running into the house and &quot; mammaw is he the boogie man &quot; 😂 my mom said no and explained that he&apos;s just a man who had darker skin than us 😂...we adored him...as soon as we&apos;d find out it was time for him to replace the tanks we&apos;d grab some cane poles and go catch him some fish 🐟 to take home with him and sometimes he&apos;d bring us a brown paper bag of penny candy...😂❤

  Thanks for your reaction to this documentary. You almost made me cry. <br><br>Larry said in one of his books that if he had met Magic when they were kids, he believed he and Magic would definitely have been friends.
