  I lived in Hope BC  when First Blood was filmed, The set construction crew came to Hope 3 months in advance and transformed Hope into a American town  in Washington state it was amazing, it even fooled people passing through. The movie helped boost Hope's economy. The cast and crew including Stallone himself, were  often interacting with the community and hiring many locals as extras .There is now a Rambo statue in downtown Hope.

  One of my favorite stories about Audie Murphy is that he locked himself into a hotel room for 2 weeks to get himself off all the sleeping and pain pills. I hope he at least had some peace before his untimely death. Thank you for your service Major Audie Murphy. Rest in Peace.

  I was in the US Army Special Forces and spent 2.5 years Nam. The scene at the end of the movie when Rambo describes how he was treated really hit home. I remember it to this day.

  The Deer hunter addressed PTSD on Vietnam veterans about four years before Rambo came along.

  It isnt mentioned but you can see  teasels medals on display in his office. I figure some keen eyed viewers wouldve made the connection.

  They should totally make an extended cut where they include the deleted scene of Sheriff Teasles Koren War Backstory.

  Without the deleted scene, the battle between Teasle and Rambo reminds some long hairs of how they got treated in small towns. Many local police dept's shared Teasle's concern, "if we have one of you here, next week we have more of your type". "Uncommon Valor" in 1983 was also about POWs.

  My aunt was in the film industry in Toronto back in the '90s. I was talking to her years ago and asked who was her favorite actor that she had worked with. Without skipping a beat she said Brian Dennehy and added that he was the most down-to-earth and one of the nicest people in the biz. That guy understood the mission and she absolutely loved him🫶
