  Having no fear doesn't make you brave, it makes you reckless. Overcoming fear is what makes you brave. That's what the show doesn't understand about basic human emotion because the writers don't understand basic human emotion.

  i don&apos;t think they don&apos;t understand it, its that they understand the idea of a hero but treat such an idea with disdain and mockery their brain cannot conceptualize any way to treat it other than with contempt

  John’s mother in the comics is a civil rights leader who teaches him justice, humanity, ethics and mortality, soooo…. They said “why would we want that?!”

  I&apos;m certain that the Green Lanterns were chosen for their ability to &quot;overcome&quot; great fear. Not the lack of feeling it or being fearless, but the ability to overcome the fear you face was what they looked for. So these writers have absolutely no idea

  I am growing more convinced that Hollywood is run by a secret underground group of Uber racists. Ironheart was the funniest one for me. Black chic goes on crime spree and blames the white man for keeping her down, and shes supposed to be the good guy. Now we get this mother raising her son in an atmosphere of fear and violence and filling his head with &quot;whitey gonna getcha&quot;, and shes supposed to be a good guy. Outstanding work, gentlemen.
