I've heard both, they are both excellent - it all depends on what type of sound you favor. Personally I prefer the Evo.

Both excellent speakers; considering the Kef is about 30% more expensive, I think the Evo 5.2 punches well above it's weight; although it must be mentioned that the custom stands for the Evo are crazy at £449, adding 60% to the price of the speakers if you want to do things properly

The mics are at totally different heights relative to the midrange and treble. Both sound great but I can't help but notice the mic is not placed apples to apples.

Thank you very much for the video! I was planning to buy the EVO 5.2, but now that I’ve heard it compared to the KEF, I feel like the KEF is the better choice. I really like its sound (it is more open/layered for me)!
