I Took Apart an Old Edwardian Chair… Here’s How It Turned Out!

I’ve never upholstered a chair before… so naturally I decided to start with this beautiful old Edwardian armchair! 😬 In today’s video I’m taking you through the whole transformation, from stripping away the old upholstery (and what felt like several million staples!) to working out how to recreate the buttoned back, covering everything in gorgeous olive green velvet and finally adding the braid trim. This was very much a learn-as-I-go project, and there were definitely a few moments when things didn’t quite go to plan, but I’m absolutely thrilled with how this lovely old chair has turned out.
