FYI, these cost $449 USD. We didn't have pricing information at the time of filming and we didn't want to speculate. Sorry about that!

For any headphones.. you need someone from your office with glasses to chime in on comfort.

Why can Linus say "hey google" and trigger my voice assistant, but when i try it (with my voice model saved) it just sits there like 🙂?

Lets be honest, "speak to chat" is the first function you will disable immediately once you experience how it works

Btw, if it occasionally turns on itself, you can disable it by holding 2 fingers for 2 seconds

I’ve had the xm4’s since 2020, using them literally everyday as a musician and janitor. They’ve survived bumps, drops, sweat, everything and they still hold up with no signs of dying anytime soon.

Thank fucking god they brought back the folding element of the headphones. It was a dealbreaker for me when the XM5 was announced, as I wanted to fold it to make it compact in my backpack and not take up real estate for other things I needed.

I wish they would add a mode where, if someone says your name, it turns on ambient sounds so you don't sit there oblivious to someone trying to get your attention.

Labs feedback: I get wanting to show the charts for each headphone separately, but I think it would be a nice addition to give a version of each chart that has both XM5 and XM6 on the same chart. Or even one where the XM5 is neutralized as the target and then the XM6 is presented as the difference from target - this probably only makes sense for the ANC measurements but would likely better showcase the differences Linus noted in mids for ANC.

Also, for this specific headphone, I bet I'm not the only person with XM4s that saw the XM5 lost the fold feature and never upgraded because of it. It would be really useful to show XM4 vs XM6 which would probably have even starker improvements to highlight, which would then help XM4 owners decide if this is finally the one to upgrade to. Similar to how in GPU charts it's useful to include a couple older cards - many people don't upgrade every year, so only showing the difference between last year's cards and the new card is not as useful since it means the viewer has to try to do mental math or additional research to grok the potential upgrade value.

We already know what we're getting with these kind of headphones. What we're interested in knowing is how's the durability? Are the hinges flimsy? Will the headphones survive a drop from a desk?
