  You have to throw in the media pressure too. Once the ‘back pages’ and radio (talk sport) sniff a manager is struggling they definitely contribute to the ‘should he be sacked’ frenzy. Frank Lampard once said on a podcast &nbsp;that when chelsea sacked &nbsp;Mourinho and Acelotti that he’d rather the chelsea &nbsp;kept faith with playing with these managers through the bad times because if Chelsea had had the patience he reckoned they would of gone onto win more trophies by seeing through the bad moments

  A good director of football ensures good squad continuity. You should only bring in coaches that are able to play the style of football the club promotes and utilise the players given

  Jordan, I work in the game and I can tell you that almost all modern contracts contain a severance ceiling. Many also now contain minimum qualifying terms with positive tapering.
