Just listening to my vinyl copy of LA Woman spinning on a B&O Beogram RX2 (inherited) into an A&R A60 and out of my mint Mission 780SE, bought for peanuts about 2 years ago. Fantastic system, great sound - bargain of the century!

When you put new decent hq parts in the crossover, these things sounds awesome!

Along with various Energy s, Dynaudios, Telefunkens, AEs and Yamahas I remember a pair of these from my youth. I think that my brother has them now. The 780s were just great fun.

I have Mission 760i speakers with a rega io amp and Planar 2 turntable. I love the sound!

I remember buying a pair of Mission 760i SE from Richer Sounds for £150 in 1993. Served me well until selling them circa 2008.

Good job you took your watch off David which meant only one speaker got scratched up by Mike with his barbed titanium watch strap and scraper ring 😂

After your review I was looking on ebay for some time for a good example but I guess the result of your emphatically positive review was that none or no good ones where available. I was looking for a small standmount for my Naim Nait 50 as my 752 Freedom's create a bass issue in my room. Logging in today I found a lovely pair of 780 SE's in rosewood (same as my 752). Looking forward to hearing them with the little Nait. Thank you for the review guys.

Update; It is now a month later and these little things sound just wonderful with all my amps, especially the Nait. Probably not the obvious choice for a £2k amplifier but they make fun and engaging music. Thank you! If you ever introduce viewer systems I will be happy to submit x

My first pair of speakers, Cyrus 780, before it was renamed as Misiion 780. 😍

Have still have my pair of 780se's bought in the 90's. Paired with a Cyrus Straight Line they sounded great.

Had a pair of 782,s floor standers, the were great sounding with Exposure 15 amp,and PinkT deck. They did have the self destruct main driver which killed mission. Shame. Cheers chaps.
