I loved K Mart bc they had layaway. I could go in there and could afford everything bc I could always use layaway and just pick it up later.

Don’t forget Woolco started in 1962 as well. They only lasted 20 years though.

I'll always remember the counter with the stools at Woolworths. The Walworth in Berwyn Illinois always had people sitting there at the stools eating.

Edwardsville pa. I'm 73 went to that store at least 3 times a week my kids got so excited when we said we were going to k Mart we were even shopping when the flood water was coming in the back doors god they are fantastic memories despise Walmart and target kmart was fun for the whole family
