The parents saying they "had no idea"...I learned very quickly as a teenage alcoholic that as long as I stayed under the radar and didn't draw attention to myself, I could get away with A LOT. Sadly. If I got my chores done and spoke when spoken to, nobody bothered with me. Nobody asked if I was ok or needed anything. By the time I left home at 18 I was a full blown alcoholic.

What an intense story. I listened on Apple but can’t comment there. Ohio born & raised! That kratom is some nasty stuff. So proud of you, Lauren, for rising above. Keep it up 🙏

This is my story to a T, good upbringing, accomplished distance runner/Bicyclist. The last 3 months of my drinking history, basically turned into 3 months of "leaving Las Vegas, triggered by COVID, and Marital separation.<br>3 plus years of sobriety 👍💯
